Cervical spondylosis symptoms are the neck and arm problems that come from wear in the bones and discs of the neck. In Nashik, Dr. Nikhil Bhamare sees that pattern in his practice as a neurosurgeon and spine surgeon. People feel neck stiffness, arm pain, or a hand that has become clumsy. Some of that can wait for a clinic visit. Sudden weakness should not. A scan measurement, a fee, and a promise about surgery are not printed here.
The condition itself is set out on https://nikhilbhamare.com/conditions/cervical-spondylosis. To book, use https://nikhilbhamare.com/contact or call +91 8888886272.
What cervical spondylosis symptoms usually feel like
The common story is a stiff neck that has been present for months, worse at the end of a day at a desk or after a long ride. Some people feel a grinding sensation when they turn the head. Some have a headache that starts at the neck. Pain between the shoulder blades can be part of the same picture. None of these, on their own, prove the diagnosis. They are the reasons people ask.
Arm symptoms change the question. Pain that travels past the shoulder into the forearm, tingling in the fingers, or a grip that has become clumsy can mean a nerve in the neck is irritated. Both arms, or a change in walking, or numbness in the legs, can mean the spinal cord is involved rather than a single nerve. Those are different symptoms even though the scan may use the same name for the worn discs.
A neck that hurts after a fall, a road accident, or a sudden twist is not the slow wear of cervical spondylosis. That pain needs its own examination. Do not assume an old scan explains a new injury.
What the symptoms do not decide
An MRI or an X-ray can show worn discs in people who have few symptoms, and it can look milder than the trouble the person describes. The scan and the examination have to agree. A particular millimetre of disc bulge does not, by itself, require an operation, and a normal-looking report does not mean the pain is imagined. Dr. Bhamare's examination is the step that connects them.
Medicines, posture, and physiotherapy are often the first conversation when the symptoms are pain and stiffness without weakness. Surgery is a later conversation, for selected people, when the examination and the scans show a nerve or the spinal cord under pressure and the symptoms match. Surgery is not the default, and a tablet is not the default. The dose and the choice of medicine depend on other illnesses and on what you already take.
When to book, and when to go the same day
Book a visit when neck pain or stiffness has lasted more than a short strain, when arm pain or tingling is new, or when you already have a scan and no one has explained it in person. Bring the images and the report. A photograph of the report on a phone is a start. The full file is better. Nashik patients often arrive with a disc from another centre. Bring it.
Use emergency care the same day for sudden weakness in an arm or leg, trouble walking that is new, loss of control of urine or stool, a neck injury with severe pain, or neck pain with fever and a feeling of being very unwell. Those are not symptoms to watch for a week. A scheduled spine clinic is the right door for the slower pattern. The contact page is https://nikhilbhamare.com/contact. The phone on that page is +91 8888886272. Say whether the problem is neck pain only, or pain with arm or leg symptoms, so the desk knows the urgency you are describing. That call is not a diagnosis.
If you are already seeing another doctor
Dr. Bhamare practices at Medinova Super Speciality Hospital in Nashik. If you are already under another doctor, bring that history. Continuity is more useful than starting the story again from a blank page. Cervical spondylosis, including how it is treated, is explained at https://nikhilbhamare.com/conditions/cervical-spondylosis.
What to tell the doctor
Say when the pain started, whether it is on one side, and whether the fingers feel numb or weak. Say if you have dropped objects, or if walking feels less steady than it did a month ago. Mention diabetes, blood thinners, and any previous neck operation. Mention work that involves looking up for long periods, or a two-wheeler commute that leaves the neck stiff. Those details change the examination. They are not a diagnosis by themselves.
Do not wait to mention trouble with urine or with balance because it feels unrelated to the neck. That link is exactly what the surgeon is listening for. Write it down if you are worried you will forget it in the room.
Living with the slower symptoms while you wait for the visit
A planned appointment is not a reason to ignore a new change. If walking, grip, or bladder control worsens after you have booked, treat that as a new symptom and call. Do not wait out the week because a slot already exists. For the slower pain, ordinary adjustments are fair to try while you wait: change the height of a screen, take breaks on a long ride, and avoid a sudden heavy lift that reproduces the arm pain. This is not an exercise prescription. It is a way to avoid making the week worse before someone examines you.
Keep a short diary of which fingers tingle and at what time of day. Two lines a day are enough. Note whether the grip is worse in the morning or after a long ride, and whether one arm is clearly worse than the other today. That diary is more useful in the room than a single word, "pain", offered without a pattern. Bring it with the scans.
Questions people ask
Are cervical spondylosis symptoms always a reason for surgery?
No. Many people are treated for pain and stiffness without an operation. Surgery is discussed when the examination and the scans show pressure on a nerve or on the spinal cord, and the symptoms match that finding.
Can a scan from last year explain today's arm pain?
Sometimes it helps. It is not enough on its own if the symptoms are new. Bring the old scan and expect a fresh examination. A new injury needs its own look.
Does this page name a fee or a recovery percentage?
No. A fee depends on the plan, and only the consultation knows the plan. A percentage from another practice is not a result Dr. Bhamare is offering you.
Where is the appointment booked?
Use https://nikhilbhamare.com/contact or +91 8888886272. The condition page is https://nikhilbhamare.com/conditions/cervical-spondylosis. Use emergency care for sudden weakness, new trouble walking, or loss of bladder or bowel control.
Disclaimer
This page is general education for people in Nashik. It is not a diagnosis, a personal treatment plan, or a promise about surgery. A surgeon who has examined you and seen your scans has to interpret the symptoms.
